Conduct interactive simulations of basic thermodynamics.
Explore the world of heat and energy in a "virtual" laboratory. Your students can select from fifteen experiments covering such topics as gas diffusion; maxwell's Distribution; Brownian Motion; isobaric, isochoric, isothermal and adiabatic processes; specific heat; the Carnot Cycle; evaporation and condensation; and the thermodynamic cycles. In each, they'll have a chance to run a simulation, change variables, record and graph data, and analyze their results - all on the computer. |
