Differences in density - caused by variations in temperature and salinity - determine our oceans' currents. Using this durable, clear acrylic model, your students will simulate the movement of warm water and cold water between polar and equatorial regions. They'll also model the current movement which results from density gradients. In the process, they'll learn about convection currents, weather fronts and how ocean currents affect our climate.
