We, at Prolab Scientific, believe that going green is much more than a trend, a flavor of the week or a good PR move.  Being a 2^nd generation family-owned enterprise, we’ve decided to step ahead for our children and for the future of us all. It was time for us to move from being environmentally sensitive to become environmentally pro-active. 

So here are some concrete things that we implemented in the past year:

• Prolab’s new 2008 educational catalogue will be entirelly printed on Rolland Environ 100 paper, the only paper on the market that is certified processed chlorine-free (PCF) and made from 100% Postconsumer Recycled Content.

• Prolab is now shipping most of its orders in boxes made of recyclable cardboard and is packing them with reused newspaper or environmentally acceptable, ozone friendly polystyrene peanuts.

With the help and ideas of all its employees, Prolab also came up with an extended in-house recycling policy. It allowed us to reduce our office, warehouse and kitchen waste by half. Even if recycling policies in the industrial sector are hard to implement (no recycling pick-up services are offered), we decided to go against the crowd and to take charge of everything.

Green is more than just a colour.  

It’s a silent revolution, which Prolab Scientific is proud to be part of.
