How is a Food Web Organized, Lab Investigation

Game-like activity to learn about the feeding patterns of members in a community. Introduce your students to food webs and food chains using this innovative game-like activity. Your class will view illustrations of various life forms, study their main characteristics and determine "who eats whom" as they assemble a food chain of the organisms chosen. In addition, the students will learn about the impact of a change in one population on all others in a web and understand the different factors that affect actual food webs in a community. Grade level: 7-10. Class size: 40 students.
