| Make the MERIT your next choice of water still and you will find it easy to use, safe to clean and reliable throughout continuous operation. Up to 4 litres/hr of distilled water produced from the horizontal borosilicate glass boiler fitted with a 3 kW chromium plated heater. The merit is compact in size (50 x 15 x 45 cm) with a strong metal stand for bench or wall mounting. Condenser plumbing connections are via screwthread connectors, so hose can be fitted or removed safely without excessive force.A thermostat built into the heater protects the merit in the event of water supply failure and automatically resets when the still has cooled. Unlike many other stills, the Merit can be cleaned without hazardous dismantling. Cleaning agents can be added to the boiler through a built-in funnel with a stopcock provided for drainage.
