This tough little turntable is a companion to the bicycle wheel gyroscope. It's 29 centimeter surfaces make it ideal for use as a swivel stool top. Students can also stand on the platform and experience conservation of angular momentum by changing their moments of inertia. Throwing or catching weights while on the platform will illustrate Newton's third law of action/reaction as applied to moment arms and torque. Truly a versatile lab aid.
