Test and observe the physical and chemical characteristics of simulated urine, relating the results to a variety of diseases which can be diagnosed through urinalysis. The kit includes a unique formulation of safe, simulated urine which looks and acts like the real thing. Students will gain a basic understanding of urinalysis and the important role it plays in the diagnosis of medical disorders as they test the simulated urine for pH, protein, sugar, crystals and simulated blood cells, which can be viewed under a microscope. (Class size: 40 students).
